WEEK 1

When contemplating which major to pursue for my postgraduate studies, I explored various directions in media studies. Recent years have allowed me to deeply sense the power of new media communication, further solidifying my determination to study digital media. “Baym argues that technology does not develop in isolation but is shaped by social, cultural, political, and economic forces.” (Baym, N. I am particularly interested in how digital media develops, the forms it takes in dissemination and its impacts on society and individuals. I look forward to gaining more practical knowledge in this course, which will enable me to better contribute to societal development, undertake meaningful initiatives, and create innovative media things.
